Aduan Sapi (Bull Fight)
Bondowoso, East Java
Traditional event with the objective to improve the quality of cattle breeding. This popular bull fight is held regularly at least six times a month on each Saturday and Sunday.

Throughout Bali
Religious rituals throughout the island to the deity Sang Hyang Pramesti Guru in his capacity as creator of the universe. People all over Bali make offerings to stave off evil forces (most popular in Norhtern part of Bali).
February 4, 98 Traditional Ceremony in Jatijajar
Kebumen, Central Java
Jatijajar is a tourist attraction site where you can visit a cave with stalagtites and stalagmites attractions. It is located about 42 kms from Kebumen town and can be reached by public transport from here. When you happen to visit here on February 4, in coincidence with "Idul Fitri" celebration, you will watch a traditional event "Selamatan" beginning at 05.00 pm marked with ritual gathering for saying grace. The "Wayang" performance is held for the whole night to conclude the event.
February 5, 98 Lebaran Topat
Batu layar Vilage and Senggigi, West Nusa Tenggara
Lebaran Topat is held seven days after Idul Fitri, end of Ramadhan, when housewives cook ketupat (rice wrapped) in woven young coconut leaves). The people visit their relatives and on the seventh day they visit sacred graves where prayers are held and it ends with feasting.

Tambak lekok village, Pasuruan, East Java
A unique tradition among the fishing communities of Pasuruan where the fishermen wear "Skis" while searching for shelfish on the mudflats. To preserve this tradition annual mud skiing competitions are organized.
February 7, 98 Ketoprak Performance
Yogyakarta
Ketoprak is a Javanese traditional folk drama played by a cast of artists accompanied by the sound of the gamelan orchestra and the voice of a professional lady singer or "waranggono". The Ketoprak plays episodes from the Indonesian long struggle for independence and from the lives and reigns of Indonesian rulers in the past. Staged at the RRI Nusantara II Auditorium, Jalan Gejayan, Yogyakarta from 08.00 till 12.00 pm.

The 253th of the anniversary of the founding of the city is celebrated with various activities such as traditional performances and sport competitions.

Yogyakarta
Played from 10.30 am till 01.00 pm at the Puro Pakualaman coinciding with the Wiyosan Dalem or birthday (Javanese calendar) of Sri Paduka Paku Alam VIII.
February, 98 Sweep Beating Ceremony (Pukul Sapu)
Mamala and Morella, Maluku
The events is held by two groups of men from Mamala and Morella village who "Strike" each other on bare backs with stick brooms for about half and hour. "Mamala Oil" made from coconut is applied to those injured to show its healing powers. The oil is believed to have extra ordinary powers, such as to cure broken bones.
